Terms of service

A prototype. Likeness AI is a hackathon prototype built for the AI Builder Cup 2026. It is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, and may be changed, reset or shut down at any time.

1. Using Likeness AI

  • You sign in with a Google account. By using the app you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
  • You must be 18 or older. Age is self-declared and not checked.
  • As a creator, you may only connect a YouTube channel that you own, and only your own face may be captured in the live face check. One channel can belong to one account.

2. Demo credits

All prices, balances, payments and earnings in the app are in demo credits. Demo credits have no monetary value: they cannot be bought, sold, transferred, withdrawn or exchanged for money or anything else. Each account gets one demo top-up, and the app limits how many ads each brand and the site can make per day.

3. Consent and licences

  • A creator licenses their likeness only to brands whose requests they approve, for the use, period, number of renders and prices in their terms. Synthetic demo creators (generated faces, labelled as such) approve requests automatically, within their terms.
  • Every image or video made under a licence is labelled “AI-generated · licensed likeness”, carries a content credential (C2PA, currently signed with a test certificate) and has a signed receipt that anyone can check on the Verify page.
  • Creators can revoke a licence at any time. New renders under it are then refused. Files already made stay labelled and verify as “Revoked”.

4. Banned uses

No licence allows, and you must not create or use, content that is:

  • political (elections, candidates, parties, causes);
  • adult, sexual or sexualised, or revealing;
  • involving minors, or showing anyone as a child;
  • impersonation: presenting the creator as someone else, or as saying, endorsing or doing something they did not;
  • deceptive: fake news, fake evidence, fake reviews or testimonials, or staged events presented as real.

Prompts are checked before every render, and renders that fail the check are refused. Brands must use ads only within their licence, must not remove the visible label or the content credential, and must not present an ad as anything other than AI-generated with a licensed likeness.

5. Generated content

Ads are generated by AI models (Gemini and Veo on Google Cloud Vertex AI) and may contain mistakes. You are responsible for how you use what you make. We may refuse, limit or remove content or accounts that break these terms.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Likeness AI is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, and its makers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from the use of this prototype.
